FBF Happy birthday!

FLASH BACK FRIDAY

Since today is Justin Timberlakes birthday, I am feeling like it's only appropriate to celebrate by posting about his concert we attended for David's birthday back in November. David approves. Yes, this is some serious writing material, I know. You are being majorly stimulated by this information, you're welcome. David's birthday is November 29th and we went to the concert on the 27th!
We knew he was performing a few nights while we would be in California but couldn't decide which show and when to go with the variables that were happening at the time. It was LITERALLY last minute, like David decided to check tickets online after the show had already started but the opening act was still going on, and we got there with 10 minutes to spare before JT stepped on the stage. But oh was it worth it. We were right down the street from the Honda Center, so we bought our tickets and RAN out the door. My in laws watched the babes for us. They are the best.
There weren't many tickets left being so last minute, so we bought some that were considered piggy back, or one infront of the other. I wasn't excited about this aspect but it was for David's birthday and he was so excited, so I went along with it, and of course I was pumped about the concert as well! When we arrived no one was in the seat next to me so he ended up being able to move seats and sit by me once the concert started! Thank the heavens! I looked like a straight up loner for a second!
Then the show started and it was basically amazefest! We danced and sang the entire 33 songs! We also ended up with basically front row seats! Well, we were on the end of the stage but we were still up at the stage and JT walked out to us numerous times! There are photos to show better where we were. We had a moment, JT and I, more than once where we locked eyes! I'm not kidding! I could almost touch him, no big deal. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure down below.

Side note, David has met JT before a while back and has a photo with him. He went to his concert with Mr. Dave Loeffler. It was in Vegas, and he got a back stage pass thanks to Dave and his amazing connections. But he was still just as excited to be at the show and be this close again!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAVID!!!

The stage extended out all the way up past us, and JT walked out to us a LOT. It was epic.

NO ZOOM!!
So close I could almost touch him! We were loving it. Also I don't know how to post a video, but I'm sure everyone knows how epic it sounded, so much better in real life than watching some video anyway! You can just use your imagination. :)

Here is the whole honda center arena. We got so lucky getting those seats so last minute! Thank you stub hub!
David's phone is in the bottom right hand corner video taping JT. Again, this photo, no zoom, so close. We loved it!
We had a fantastic time!
Not the best photo! But the other option we are blinded with lights squinting so I figured this would be more attractive. You're welcome. My bragging session has officially ended, but come on, you would do it too! Have a fabulous weekend!

Oh Thursday

How do I start this post... Hmmm. Well, currently my 2 year old is in his room having some quiet time/time out. You will find out why below.

Side note: no children were harmed during any of today events, lucky for him, I say him because we all know who the trouble maker is.

It seemed like any other day, I gave Kayden a hair cut this morning and put him in the bath afterward to wash off all the left over hairs like I always do. When this little man is in the tub, he has a bad habit of jumping out to go get things, toys, a snack, more toys, and then jumps back in...it pretty much drives me nuts. I'm always yelling, "Kayden! Please get back in the tub or you are going to be all done!" This kid loves his baths and could stay in it for hours playing, not kidding. But, like I said, he also loves jumping out, running around naked, and then jumping back in. So today when I put him in I thought, well I might as well bathe the baby while I'm at it. Grabbed her, got her undressed, and gave her a quick bath. As I was getting her dressed in the other room I heard Kayden jump back in the tub. "He's so sneaky!" I thought, I didn't even hear him get out, but I could still hear him chatting away splashing around so I knew he was ok and I was literally 10 feet away. I went in to check on him like I always do every few minutes, and I realized, somehow, he managed to grab my iphone that I usually always leave on the counter out of his reach. I screamed, and it may or may not have involved a swear word. My poor beautiful gold iPhone had indeed, sunk to the bottom of the tub to its sad watery grave, and had been sitting there for at least a few minutes. Devastated is how I feel, its pretty much brand new, only like 2 months old. HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO ME??!?! So now, I'm having major first world problems, feeling like a total brat for being so sad over a water filled iPhone. It's just a beautiful shiny 32 gig gold iPhone, who cares right?!?!?! I'll keep telling myself that for the rest of the day until I actually believe it. But for now if you want to get a hold of me I suggest sending snail mail, or an email.

Here's a photo of my poor phones new home for the next day
It's in brown rice, I didn't have white. I hope that doesn't matter! I also hope this actually works to hopefully save the poor things life! Hope your Thursday is better than mine!

Party time

I have pretty much decided I am the worst at getting pictures of my little family all together. I need to make an effort at being better about it. I mean just out doing fun things, or at let's say a birthday party!

Anywho, we had a pretty good weekend spending time together. Friday, my family came down and hung out for the day. We got my moms favorite lunch, the Italian place. It's in Orem Provo ish. She LOVES it! She always talks about needing to get a steak sandwich every time she comes to visit. she's so funny. She went to BYU so in her college days she would always go there with friends. I think it's delicious and it's a little sentimental for her.
She and my sister took Kayden off our hands for a couple hours, and took him to play at Provo beach resort at the river woods. He loved it. They have a little toddler area with slides and things to climb on, games, and a carousel. He still isn't so fond of a carousel.. One day he might love it! Until then, he screamed bloody murder the entire time. Silly guy.
He was so happy he could fit 2 binkies in his mouth! Oh boy....
He also loves building Lego towers taller than he is, with a little help of course!

On Sunday evening we headed to my cousin Jenny's house to have a birthday party for my aunt Dixie. I brought a pasta salad. YUMMM I love this pasta salad so much!
My cousins all made delicious things, involving hamburgers, salad, potato salad, and of course, birthday cake and ice cream.
My parents and sister couldn't come because they all had become ill the night before. They were bummed they missed out!
My cousin Christine makes beautiful cakes, so she custom made this gigantic cake for her mom! It had multiple layers of delicious chocolate and vanilla cake. So yummy and beautiful!
During dinner we had the Seahawks game on. I of course was rooting from them since my sister lives in down town Seattle, and I lived there for a while in high school! I was pumped when they won!
My sister was at the game, on the 50 yard line. Here's a photo I stole from her Facebook from her seat right after they won! Go Hawks! We are excited for the Super Bowl!
Kayden had a blast playing with my cousins kids running wild in their house! They are so much fun. You know you have a fun house when there is a giant trampoline in your kids bedroom. Not kidding.
Meanwhile I had a photo shoot with my cousins husband Ifo's 2004 GIGANTIC Super Bowl ring, he was on the eagles! This ring is serious.
After dinner David was our DJ so we could have an impromptu dance party. All the kids were loving dancing around! Everyone had a great time!

It was such a fun night! Happy birthday again Aunt Dixie!

Reminiscing.

Just spending a relaxing Saturday morning eating a donut(s), thinking about how cute Kayden was as a baby.  But seriously I die for his chubby little baby smile.  He was like a tan little butter ball of rolls, and spit up. :) He has so much personality and is always so happy, loves to laugh, I can't not have a smile on my face when I'm with him.

This seems like yesterday, now he's running around practically talking. He's getting so big, but is still chubby and cute. Stop growing little boy!! Time really does fly people. It's insane.
Alright enough reminiscing for one day, off to finish sleep training little number 2, it's actually going really well! She's loving her naps!
Have a good Saturday! :)
