Happy

Sometimes you gotta wake up in the morning, hang in your pajamas and dance around to music! Specifically happy by pharell Williams. That song gets me going and in a good mood everytime and I can't help but dance around like an idiot. No one is watching but my kids so no need to be embarassed! Embrace your silliness, my kids laugh and laugh when I turn music on and dance around the house. They also love to dance themselves. Win win. It puts us all in a great happy mood! Try it!
Saw this quote posted by Jules Hough and had to steal it. So appropriate for today!

Some days when I wake up grumpy, I have to change my attitude and choose joy, be happy, and enjoy my life! Because honestly, it's pretty great and I need to remember that! Happy Friday friends!! Laugh, dance, and choose joy! Have a great weekend!

8 Months of life and more

Dear Blog world,

I need to blog more often so I don't have a million things to talk about when I finally do.

The past few weeks have been good and bad for us. We have done all sorts of things. Friends visited, visited friends, playing, sick babies, potty training attempts, fun concerts, good news, not so good news, you name it, its probably happened. Needless to say I went to bed feeling pretty frustrated last night. More on that later. But waking up to this happy girl makes it so much better!

She now 8 months! Time flies by. She's around 14 pounds as of my home scale. She goes in for an official weigh in next month. She's still wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothing, but as of a few days ago she is finally in size 2 diapers! Kayden was in size one diapers for like a month, very different!

Kayden is so much fun! But he's also getting harder as he's gaining more and more independence. I want him to be my little chubby baby forever. Sigh, but they must grow up! He's talking a lot now! Its basically the funniest cutest thing ever! He loves to mimmick things we say. Some of his favorite sayings are...

I wuv you.
Come on
Speeeeeeky
I did it!
Tickle tickle!!
Here ya go!
I wuv you sissy
Hi Sissy!! or Hi baby!
If he cant see his sister he will say Sissy gone???? then look for her.
Help me (usually says that while Im changing his diaper, asking his sister to help him! haha)
Hey babe (wonder who taught him that ;) )
I wuv you binky. He's addicted to his binky, the day we actually take that thing away is going to be a fun post to write about. If I survive! We try to take it away during the day and he will say Binky gone??? Then look down at his empty hands and pout, then look around for it. Its kind of sad. haha.
Oh that little boy. He says so many funny things. We tried to start potty training and he loves to say potty poo poo?? But it hasn't quite happened yet. I also haven't committed 100% to it. I will soon.... haha.
He's learning animals and all of their sounds. His favorite is monkey ooo ooo aaa aaa! haha.
Chicken Bock Bock Bock
He can also count to ten! Genius child.
I need to do a video of his animal noises and counting. Its so cute!

Changing subjects,
Sometimes Im not sure how much I want to share on this blog. But I feel like some things need to be written down or vented about. As some of you know we put in our paper work for our sealing over a year ago. We have been WAITING and WAITING hearing excuse after excuse as to why the paper work is delayed. Davids dad was a voice of reason for us in our more frustrated times last year, he would always tell us he knows another couple in his ward who are going through the same thing, which eased our minds.

Finally we had had enough and went to our current newly put in bishop to see what is going on. He informed us that he would put it on his top priority and get it taken care of. We had heard this before but felt like he would actually get it taken care of. HE HAS. Thank the heavens above. He called SLC (was it really that easy) they said they have had our paper work for a year and have been waiting for a certain letter that we thought was sent with our paper work. Apparently it wasn't. So thats all it took. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? So now it really should be happening soon, Its been VERY frustrating and has tested our patience, but now the final letter is in and it shouldn't be long now. As my friend Nikki would say, BLESS AMERICA. We can't wait to finally have this taken care of, its been weighing on my mind for over a year and Im happy to hear some good news. I was frustrated that we had been put around the ringer the last year with excuses and more excuses, but feel happy we got a new bishop who took the time to figure it out for us! The main reason Im sharing this is to give a little explanation to my friends and family of why we haven't done this yet. I got my endowments over a year ago, just been waiting for sealing clearance. Its almost here! We are feeling excited about this information and can't wait to take our babes into the temple for that special day. I know its not the most ideal situation, but in the end all that matters is that we are sealed as a family for time and all eternity. Thats all that matters to me, the waiting will be worth it! Thanks to my friends who have listened to me talk and complain about this process time and time again. We can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel! We will let everyone know that wants to attend when this day will be! I was feeling frustrated about this last night, but thinking more clearly today Im happy its finally sorted out!

ALSO! We added a new member to our family, you're thinking a puppy right?? WRONG. A new macbook air for me! It's a beauty!! David was discussing the fact that he needs a new iMac for his work aka recording studio. I said ok but I want a laptop again, I have an iPad but its so hard to do a lot of things on it, like typing up this blog! So I think having this laptop I will be blogging up a storm! WATCH OUT! Or I won't, will see. So now Im learning how to work blogger on a computer,  fun times!

ALSO! My hair has been ridiculous lately. I was feeling so tired of keeping up my blonde roots, but hated seeing roots. So I decided to stop fighting it and do a little ombre action. Might as well jump on the trend (SUPER late I might ad) But atleast I can get away with these new glam roots for a while. My natural hair is really ashy so I put a beautiful color over the top. Im happy with this decision for lazy mom hair. Lets face it, being a mom of 2 kids is busy, I hardly have time to get my hair done! My poor little baby is REALLY attached to me. Sigh, good and bad. LOVE HER!  Im kind of loving my hair. No more ridiculous roots! Just lazy golden blended down roots. Sorry this photo is such a weird angle, my hair is really long so thats the only way to get it all in a photo.

This post is kind of a bunch of stuff in one trying to catch up a little. Ill be better about less subject matter in one post!  Well thats all for now, my baby is awake from her nap high pitched screaming at me. More later!
Ta-Ta for now!

Last little gem.
