Video release

Tonight we had the awesome opportunity to go to a screening of a huge music video that's being released on YouTube tonight. David's client Aaliyah was one of the stars in the video so of course we went to support her and see how the video and song turned out. Some of you might have seen a "Let it go"  youtube video that went viral all over Facebook. It was filmed at the midway ice castles. It currently has over 30 MILLION views on you tube! That video was done by the same people who just did this new fantastic video, with the same amazing childrens choir in it. This time they did the video to the very catchy Pharell song HAPPY! I love that song, it makes me want to get up and dance! They filmed it at the aquarium so it was only fitting they had the video reveal there with friends and family.

The main star in it who put this whole video together, as well as the other let it go video, is the one and only Alex Boye. David has done work with him through the years. Here's a fun little flash back for you!

He sang at our wedding reception and pretty much killed it. He was soooo good and so much fun! He did a very interactive entertaining show, everyone loved it!

Back to tonight! We went to the aquarium, they did the big reveal of the video in a theater they have. It was for everyone who was a part of the video, and their families. All the kids who were in it came of course, which is a LOT, the choir is huge. The aquarium was closed so it was a cool private event.  Aaliyah and another cute little girl sang the solos, and of course killed it! I loved this idea of doing the reveal for everyone in a theater, they could crank the music up and everyone could enjoy it together for the first viewing!
Here we are waiting for the big reveal! Kayden photo bombed us!

It's SOOO good. Like I said it's a cover of the song "happy" by pharell. If you could all PLEASE share it on Facebook if you love it, that would be awesome. It's such a fun cute video.

Mandy, who owns the company KoKo Blush is the adorable lady that made all the costumes, and did all the styling for the video shoot. She worked so hard and did such an amazing job, it's unbelievable. Everyone looked so great!

I'm posting the YouTube link to the video below!  KSL 5 news also covered the show tonight, and the choir and Alex will be on the news in the morning!
The 3 stars of the video! So proud of Aaliyah, she's doing big things quick!
Sway and I outside the aquarium!
Also, to add something random, which I LOVE to do. My hair is really long, and sometimes glamorous. The end.
Check out the video on my Facebook page, or hit this link and jam out!

Have a fabulous week everyone!!!!

EP release party

Listening to conference while I write this post, can you say multi tasker? I think I'm pretty good at it honestly, my husband might disagree though. I always have to rewind my shows multiple times because I get distracted and miss entire scenes and then am confused about what's going on. Thank goodness for DVR, but it drives him crazy. He's so patient with me though even when I do it mulitiple times during one show, he usually won't even say anything. Love you David! I really am enjoying conference today though! Can't wait for tomorrow!

We had a really fun night last night I wanted to write about. My husband has been working with a super talented and adorable 11 year old girl named Aaliyah. He produced her EP as well as is working as her manager, booking her shows etc. If you don't know what an EP is, it basically means an album that is too short to be called an album, but is more songs than just a single. Hers has 5 songs. 5 glorious songs. This little gal has so much raw natural singing talent it's absolutely unreal.

Last night she had her EP release party and boy was it fun! It was at a cool event center in Orem. They had bounce houses, giant inflatable slides, x box kinects projected onto giant walls, tons of catered food, delicious desserts homemade by Aaliyah's grandma. The whole night was so much fun for the whole family. David helped put the event together with Aaliyah's parents, as well as run sound, and book the talent. A few of his clients performed which is always fun to see them live!

Aaliyah doing sound check with her newly formed band David put together. They sounded amazing and were so good! You would never know they had only practiced together like twice before the big day.

Kayden relaxing enjoying sound check before the party started!

He loved the bounce house, and the obstacle course blow up slide! There were a few times I had to run into the obstacle course because he was too little to climb the wall to the slide, so I would have to hoist him over! Poor guy, thinks he can run with the big kids! He loves other kids! Especially kids his size! He laughs and tries to hug and tickle them!

I pretty much failed at getting any good photos of all the girls who performed before Aaliyah! I love them all though! Wrestling 2 babies alone pretty much left my hands full! I tried though. I did have a lot of volunteers to hold sway while I chased Kayden around, which was super nice and helpful! Thanks again ladies, of course they were all loving on her. She's a very snuggly little baby!

Here's a not super clear picture of cute Kenz Hall rockin the stage with her guitar! She's amazing, love her beautiful voice!

David was up there helping with everything the entire show as well as MCing! He's a hard working man!

Here's the little babe herself, Aaliyah. All in all the entire night was great and she did such a great job performing! People were screaming for another song when she finished!

She has some exciting things in the works coming up, watch out for her! Have a fabulous conference weekend!

Xoxo

Happy

Sometimes you gotta wake up in the morning, hang in your pajamas and dance around to music! Specifically happy by pharell Williams. That song gets me going and in a good mood everytime and I can't help but dance around like an idiot. No one is watching but my kids so no need to be embarassed! Embrace your silliness, my kids laugh and laugh when I turn music on and dance around the house. They also love to dance themselves. Win win. It puts us all in a great happy mood! Try it!
Saw this quote posted by Jules Hough and had to steal it. So appropriate for today!

Some days when I wake up grumpy, I have to change my attitude and choose joy, be happy, and enjoy my life! Because honestly, it's pretty great and I need to remember that! Happy Friday friends!! Laugh, dance, and choose joy! Have a great weekend!

8 Months of life and more

Dear Blog world,

I need to blog more often so I don't have a million things to talk about when I finally do.

The past few weeks have been good and bad for us. We have done all sorts of things. Friends visited, visited friends, playing, sick babies, potty training attempts, fun concerts, good news, not so good news, you name it, its probably happened. Needless to say I went to bed feeling pretty frustrated last night. More on that later. But waking up to this happy girl makes it so much better!

She now 8 months! Time flies by. She's around 14 pounds as of my home scale. She goes in for an official weigh in next month. She's still wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothing, but as of a few days ago she is finally in size 2 diapers! Kayden was in size one diapers for like a month, very different!

Kayden is so much fun! But he's also getting harder as he's gaining more and more independence. I want him to be my little chubby baby forever. Sigh, but they must grow up! He's talking a lot now! Its basically the funniest cutest thing ever! He loves to mimmick things we say. Some of his favorite sayings are...

I wuv you.
Come on
Speeeeeeky
I did it!
Tickle tickle!!
Here ya go!
I wuv you sissy
Hi Sissy!! or Hi baby!
If he cant see his sister he will say Sissy gone???? then look for her.
Help me (usually says that while Im changing his diaper, asking his sister to help him! haha)
Hey babe (wonder who taught him that ;) )
I wuv you binky. He's addicted to his binky, the day we actually take that thing away is going to be a fun post to write about. If I survive! We try to take it away during the day and he will say Binky gone??? Then look down at his empty hands and pout, then look around for it. Its kind of sad. haha.
Oh that little boy. He says so many funny things. We tried to start potty training and he loves to say potty poo poo?? But it hasn't quite happened yet. I also haven't committed 100% to it. I will soon.... haha.
He's learning animals and all of their sounds. His favorite is monkey ooo ooo aaa aaa! haha.
Chicken Bock Bock Bock
He can also count to ten! Genius child.
I need to do a video of his animal noises and counting. Its so cute!

Changing subjects,
Sometimes Im not sure how much I want to share on this blog. But I feel like some things need to be written down or vented about. As some of you know we put in our paper work for our sealing over a year ago. We have been WAITING and WAITING hearing excuse after excuse as to why the paper work is delayed. Davids dad was a voice of reason for us in our more frustrated times last year, he would always tell us he knows another couple in his ward who are going through the same thing, which eased our minds.

Finally we had had enough and went to our current newly put in bishop to see what is going on. He informed us that he would put it on his top priority and get it taken care of. We had heard this before but felt like he would actually get it taken care of. HE HAS. Thank the heavens above. He called SLC (was it really that easy) they said they have had our paper work for a year and have been waiting for a certain letter that we thought was sent with our paper work. Apparently it wasn't. So thats all it took. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? So now it really should be happening soon, Its been VERY frustrating and has tested our patience, but now the final letter is in and it shouldn't be long now. As my friend Nikki would say, BLESS AMERICA. We can't wait to finally have this taken care of, its been weighing on my mind for over a year and Im happy to hear some good news. I was frustrated that we had been put around the ringer the last year with excuses and more excuses, but feel happy we got a new bishop who took the time to figure it out for us! The main reason Im sharing this is to give a little explanation to my friends and family of why we haven't done this yet. I got my endowments over a year ago, just been waiting for sealing clearance. Its almost here! We are feeling excited about this information and can't wait to take our babes into the temple for that special day. I know its not the most ideal situation, but in the end all that matters is that we are sealed as a family for time and all eternity. Thats all that matters to me, the waiting will be worth it! Thanks to my friends who have listened to me talk and complain about this process time and time again. We can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel! We will let everyone know that wants to attend when this day will be! I was feeling frustrated about this last night, but thinking more clearly today Im happy its finally sorted out!

ALSO! We added a new member to our family, you're thinking a puppy right?? WRONG. A new macbook air for me! It's a beauty!! David was discussing the fact that he needs a new iMac for his work aka recording studio. I said ok but I want a laptop again, I have an iPad but its so hard to do a lot of things on it, like typing up this blog! So I think having this laptop I will be blogging up a storm! WATCH OUT! Or I won't, will see. So now Im learning how to work blogger on a computer,  fun times!

ALSO! My hair has been ridiculous lately. I was feeling so tired of keeping up my blonde roots, but hated seeing roots. So I decided to stop fighting it and do a little ombre action. Might as well jump on the trend (SUPER late I might ad) But atleast I can get away with these new glam roots for a while. My natural hair is really ashy so I put a beautiful color over the top. Im happy with this decision for lazy mom hair. Lets face it, being a mom of 2 kids is busy, I hardly have time to get my hair done! My poor little baby is REALLY attached to me. Sigh, good and bad. LOVE HER!  Im kind of loving my hair. No more ridiculous roots! Just lazy golden blended down roots. Sorry this photo is such a weird angle, my hair is really long so thats the only way to get it all in a photo.

This post is kind of a bunch of stuff in one trying to catch up a little. Ill be better about less subject matter in one post!  Well thats all for now, my baby is awake from her nap high pitched screaming at me. More later!
Ta-Ta for now!

Last little gem.
